Hi
A number of years ago I acquired a Beast kit i.e. everything but the enclosures, including 38 x  JJ 509s (6 spares).   For a variety of reasons the kit has been sitting on a shelf waiting for me to give it some attention.   The time has now come and I must decide to either sell the kit or make the amps.   One factor that will be weighed in the balance is how to best address the need for 2 enclosures.

So, I’d be glad to hear from anyone who has experience of creating their own chassis or who has a useful suggestion.

Hi Ian,
When I built my Beasts, I made fairly simple enclosures utilising a wooden frame on 3 sides, with a stainless steel top and back panel. This was made in one piece, with all the holes for fixings, tubes, terminals etc being laser cut by a local engineering company. It was then bent through 90 degrees and screwed onto the wooden frame. If I can work out how to post pictures onto the forum I'll put a couple on here. If you have a suitable company in the area to do the cutting and can either do the CAD work yourself or know some-one who can, (most Companies work with dxf files) it's a very quick and simple way of generating a custom enclosure to whatever size you need.
Hope this helps.
Steve.

Steve, not being able to PM on here is frustrating.   Are you on any other forums and if so what is your user name there?

Well it isn't my Beasts that are for sale.
Not yet found an amplifier that can match them (At least one that I could afford)
Cheers,
Steve.
